TOBIAS EDUARD SCHICK studied composition in Dresden and Rome, e.g. with Mark Andre, Ernst Helmuth Flammer and Manos Tsangaris. His Works have been performed worldwide (Germany, EU, Japan). He collaborated with renowned artists such as the guitarist Jürgen Ruck, the cellist Lucas Fels, the ensembles hand werk, mam.manufaktur für aktuelle Musik, El Perro Andaluz the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. His music and radio features about his work have been broadcast by Deutschlandradio Kultur and WDR 3. He is particulary interested in instrumental music, but he also creates scenical and conceptual works.

He has been awarded a number of prizes and scholarships, most recently the composition prize of Plural Ensemble, Madrid.

His writings about 20th/ 21th century music as well as about aesthetics have been published by periodicals such as Musik-Konzepte, Musik & Ästhetik and Positionen.

Since 2013 he works on his doctoral thesis about Mathias Spahlinger.


KATHARINA VOGT studied medicine in Berlin and Dresden as well as Music education/ Viola at HfM Dresden. She currently works as assistant doctor for radiology in a hospital in Dresden.

As a member of Manos Tsangaris' composition course at HfM Dresden she took part in a number of musical theatre productions, e.g. Ostrale `013 - Ausstellung für Gegenwartskunst, the festival Das Theater um die Muhsiiik in Bern and new talents biennale Köln 2014.
